Stefan Peters

Prof. Dr. Stefan Peters is the Academic Director of the Colombian-German Institute for Peace – CAPAZ and the chair of Peace Studies at the Justus-Liebig-University Gießen (Germany). He studied Political Science at the universities of Marburg (Germany) and Complutense de Madrid (Spain), obtaining his doctorate in Political Science from the University of Kassel (Germany). Stefan Peters works in the areas of Neo-Extractivism and Rentism, Social Inequalities, Education, Memory Studies, Development Theory, and North-South Relations. He has been a visiting professor/researcher in several Latin American countries such as Cuba, Argentina, Ecuador, and Puerto Rico.
